Ashurst Emerging Artist Award 2018
ARTWORK FEATURED ON THE ASHURST EMERGING ARTIST FACEBOOK FEED
I was lucky enough to have one of my artworks Rowallane II featured by the Ashurst Emerging Artist Award 2018 recently.
This is an international art award sponsored by Cass Art, Rich Mix and OakTree and Tiger, and is designed to showcase artists with potential, interesting ideas with relevant messages. It helps their work be seen by a much bigger audience, which was the case with my submitted piece. Over 4k people on Twitter, 10k on Instagram and 9k people on Facebook saw my entry and I received a number of positive comments and endorsements over the work. Whilst on this occasion I did not win, I was thrilled to see a fellow artist and friend Richard Graville was shortlisted for his work ‘ False Postman’ one of a series based around the idea of the visual strategies animals use to hide, confuse, cheat and attract, protect clothing for animals.
