IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
ARTISTS GETS OUT AND ABOUT FOR THE LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL
The London Design Festival has grown over recent years, and is a great place to get huge amounts of inspiration. Choosing the best pop up shows and installations is tricky as there is always so much to see. During 2018 I selected the ‘In The Neighbourhood’ - a pop up an installation across two spaces curated by Louisa Grey and Morgan Rimel. The premise of the project was to create a space showcasing hand made pieces from a selection of local and international designers and makers. Works included: Frama, Mass Productions, Henry Wilson, Tycjan Knut, Natascha Madeiski, Nest Design, Noorstad, Edward Collinson, Stitch by Stitch, London House Rugs and House of Grey in the first space, and in the second space called ‘The Blue House’ it featured work by: Muller Van Severen for valerie_objects, Paustian, Sabine Marcelis, Dinosaur Designs, Emily Forgot, John Booth for The Wrong Shop Editions, Dirk Van Der Kooij, Phil Cuttance, Barnaby Reynolds, Atelier Ternier, Kirsten Hecktermann, Beton Brut and Atelier Areti.
