Now available at The Dead Rabbit, New York
Courtesy of a special new gallery collaboration between the award winning Dead Rabbit in New York and Canvas Galleries Northern Ireland, a carefully curated selection of contemporary artworks from leading artist Emma Tweedie will now be available in the USA.
This new collaboration sees the award winning Dead Rabbit host a number of leading Irish artists on its purpose built gallery housed within the walls of its NYC Parlour Bar. This unique collection of artworks sets out to represent modern Ireland right in the heart of New York City.
Featuring six of my new artworks, I will join the ranks of other notable and contemporary luminaries including Esther O'Kelly, Andrew Gault, Grainne Laverty, Stephanie Noble, Andrew Cranley, Will McGonigle, Laura Bryson , Finn Guy and pop artist NOTPOP.
The collaboration and art initiative celebrates The Dead Rabbit's 10th year, since founder Jack Mc Garry left his native homeland and set sail for the USA. The award winning spot pays homage to its forefathers, The Dead Rabbits, where a criminal organization with extensive connections in New York politics and the gang fought long and hard to defend their poverty-stricken slum back in the mid 1800. Their leader, John Morrissey, went onto become not only an acclaimed businessman, but congressman and senator.
The founders are also set to embark upon am ambitious expansion plan with 2023 set to see the opening of new venues in Austin Texas, and New Orleans. Watch this space....
