SMALL ABSTRACT PAINTING USED IN ROMO FABRIC SHOOT

HOW TO CREATE A UNIQUE PAINTING FOR A FABRIC SHOOT

Romo Fabrics launched their first new rug collection designed by Louis De Poortere. One of the designs Lomasi which is a distressed textured chenille design was paired with my Berry Abstract artwork for one of the shots within their customer brochure. The dusky pinks and lilac tones work well against the charcoal colour palette of the rug. It is painted on a small canvas board using claypaint for a matt effect, with acrylic paint and a metallic pigment is applied on top for surface interest. Similar works can be found in the ABSTRACT section of my website. The shots in the brochure were styled by the super talented Jo Bailey who regularly works for Living Etc, Homes and Gardens and other leading interior brands.
