SCOTTISH LANDSCAPE FEATURED IN COUNTRY HOMES & INTERIORS

CELTIC ARTWORK SHOT FOR MAGAZINE EDITORIAL

Another piece which was created specially for Country Homes & Interiors was this landscape image depicting a Scottish landscape. Using inspiration from some of my sketches from Scotland, I created an original watercolour picture using a think fabriano paper with Cotman watercolours and some concentrated watercolours from Dr PH Martin’s from Jackson’s Art, Sennelier l'Aquarelle and Ecoline to add depth. The colours I wanted to keep warm yet transparent in sections so I used Mahogany, Rose Madder, Mauve, Phthalo Green, along with colours with more profile such as Paynes grey and Indigo. Touches of Cerulean blue were added with a flat brush for the horizon line layered up for depth. I then created a print which was featured in the magazine.
