The Winter Exhibition Richmond Art Society

Landmark Arts Centre Teddington

On the 25th, 26th and 27th of November, I'll be showing a couple of paintings as part of the Richmond Art Society Winter Exhibition in Teddington London.

The Society itself is over 60 years old, and started out during the 1940's. Since then, its remained a firm fixture on the local art calendar, hosting two exhibitions every year. One of the aims of the Society is to bring together those living in and around Richmond who are interested in the visual arts, and the number of working artists sits at 100 with an additional 100 registered as general members.

To be accepted as a member I had to go through a strict selection process with the current committee, who not only viewed physical examples of my work but also considered my artist's statement and notes about my approach to my work. It was a lovely process to go through, and I am delighted to join the society as one of its newest members. Each show typically has over a hundred works on the walls, as well as sculptures and ceramics. Guests will be able to view a variety of works in oil, watercolours, acrylics, mixed media, collages, drawings, pastels and prints as well as photographs, and among the prints there will be etchings, drypoint, screenprints and monoprints. And in addition there are likely to be another hundred artworks in the ‘browser’ display stands. All the work on display is offered for sale. Further information on the exhibition can be found HERE.

For this particular exhibiton edition I will have two original paintings on display and a couple of my large Signed limited edition prints. The exhbition will host a mince pie and mulled wine evening on the 25th November between 5 and 8pm as part of the Teddington Christmas Lights Up activity, and then the exhibition will be open for general view between 10am and 4pm on Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th of November 2021.
